Marshfield Labs moved from their Madison lab into the newly expanded Veterinary Emergency Service building in Middleton at the end of August 2010. Marshfield Labs is committed to the Madison area veterinary medical community by providing convenient reference lab testing that you can trust.

Marshfield Labs Veterinary Services was established in 1991 to serve the needs of veterinarians throughout Wisconsin and the Midwest. While our main lab is located in Marshfield, Wisconsin, we have expanded to include additional laboratory locations providing daily services for veterinarians and research facilities nationwide.

As part of a large medical and research institution, we maintain the same stringent standards of quality control and assurance throughout all of our laboratories. Our pathologists and laboratory staff are committed to providing service that goes beyond what is expected.

Why is a stat lab important in an emergency and specialty practice?

Lab tests are an important diagnostic tool in veterinary medicine. When a pet visits our emergency clinic or our specialty center, they are often in need of more than just a routine check up. Having a Marshfield on site provides many advantages to your pets care.

Meet Our Lab Staff

SHELLEY VAN PROOSDY

Earned her B.S. in Clinical Lab Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, worked in a hospital chemistry lab for 7 years and has been an Account Executive for Marshfield Labs for the last 16 years.

LINDSAY HULL, CVT

Lindsay graduated with an associate's degree in veterinary technology from the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in 2004. She has been with Marshfield Labs since January 2007 and has a special interest in hematology. She enjoys reading and spending time with her dachshunds Flora and Fauna.

LIZ MCCONNELL, CVT

Liz graduated with an associate's degree in veterinary technology from MATC in 2004. She enjoys all aspects of the veterinary field and is always looking for a new challenge. She spends her free time reading, running, and playing fetch with her chihuahua Tenoch.

What does Marshfield bring to our referring Madison Area Veterinary Clinics?

The test menu and lab hours will be slightly expanded. Marshfield Labs' staff (Lindsay and Liz) welcome clients to drop off samples for testing during these hours up until 30 minutes prior to close. For samples that need to go to Marshfield for analysis, clients should bring them prior to 5 PM in order to make the courier that night.
