Biography:

Elisa is excited to have re-joined the VES team as a clinician, after having worked at VES as a veterinary assistant prior to veterinary school. It is her original employment at VES that first inspired her interest in emergency and critical care medicine. She is originally from Arizona, but fell in love with the Midwest after moving to Madison in 2008. During veterinary school, Elisa was president of the Animal Behavior Club, and was active in many student organizations. After graduation, Elisa completed a 1 year rotating internship at VCA Veterinary Care Animal Hospital and Referral Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She moved back to Madison in July, 2014 with her 10 year old pup, Cholla – and joined the VES team shortly thereafter! In her free time, she enjoys exploring the great outdoors, traveling, and scuba diving.
