Veterinary Emergency Service / Veterinary Specialty Center (VES/VSC), is a steadily expanding, independently owned Emergency and Specialty hospital group in the Madison, Wisconsin area, looking for a full time Dermatologist to join our group!
As an specialist in dermatology at VES/VSC, you will have the full support of our eight board certified specialists and 18 ER veterinarians. Our specialists will work side-by-side with you in a collaborative and encouraging manner to ensure the best outcome for our patients. Our specialties include Anesthesia, Critical Care (2), Surgery (2), Internal Medicine (1), Cardiology (1), and Oncology (2). VES/VSC also manages a critical care residency program and rotating internship.
Our three locations (Middleton, Madison, Janesville) are staffed by a progressive team of 18 ER doctors and a highly skilled group of CVTs and Assistants. In addition, VES/VSC engages several Client Care Coordinators and numerous Customer Service Representatives to help manage communication and financial aspects leaving you to focus on patient care.
There is a real need for a veterinary dermatologist in the Madison region, with clients having to travel to Illinois, Milwaukee or Minnesota to obtain a timely appointment within 3 months. The Madison area is home to an educated, friendly and dedicated population, who treat their pets as part of the family. We are looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, working with multiple specialists and helping each other to provide the best care possible for our patients.

Our goal is to empower our staff to be fully engaged providing the best care/service possible. With over 160 employees total, VES/VSC has a highly-dedicated administration team. In addition, our DVM/Hospital managers ensure all staff have a voice.
If you join VES/VSC, you will experience weekly critical care rounds, and a bi-weekly informal journal club and M&M. VES/VSC also hosts CE dinner events to our referring veterinarians monthly. You may be called upon to mentor interns, veterinary students during externships, and we encourage/support clinical research. VES/VSC strongly believes in ongoing community involvement and outreach, and regularly supports local charitable events.
Our doctors receive a competitive compensation package, including three health plan levels, disability coverage, PLIT insurance, 401(k) with a charitable employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO) and a generous CE fund. The dermatologist would work four days a week, although part time applicants are also encouraged to apply.
