Education:

Born in San Diego, but raised in western New York State, Dr. Brendan Sheehan worked as a kennel assistant and veterinary technician in Buffalo and then in San Francisco at a specialty veterinary center where he was the head technician. After 10 years as a technician, Brendan returned to the western New York area and attended Medaille College and graduated with a dual degree in Biology and Veterinary Technology. From there, Dr. Sheehan migrated to Wisconsin where he worked as a technician at a feline specialty practice before starting veterinary school at the University of Wisconsin. After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Sheehan completed an internship in Medicine and Surgery at Metropolitan Veterinary Referral Group in Akron, Ohio. Dr. Sheehan went to New York City in 2008 and worked as a small animal general practitioner. Following a year of big city life he transitioned back to the Midwest . He lives in Madison with his wife and their 4 cats: Morgan (aka "the Phat"), Shyanne (aka "Blackie"), Bennett (aka "Mr. Cito"), and Dolly (aka "the Tuna").
